available in many shades I think |
Another review at this early hour (no worries my opinions will still be as honest as ever, maybe a few typos here and there)! Today I'm going to review the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer as it is the first highstreet/drugstore concealer I have bought in awhile...I swear by the MAC concealers (despite its ridiculous price tag!).
At first, I thought it would be another product that doesn't deserve the hype that it gets...I don't have many Maybelline products, I mainly just buy their mascaras because they are the best in Superdrug/Boots! Apart from that, I have nothing else. Being drawn to the promotion sales and cheap-ish price (£5), I bought this concealer immediately.
Pros:
- A wide colour range - I was amazed at the range of colours there were, not only for concealer but for the matching foundation too! Although I did not even attempt to colour match and grabbed one which was close enough to my skin colour, it matched perfectly! Although I would've liked it a little, weeny bit lighter to brighten up my eyes, there are no obvious "foundation lines" that make me look fake.
- The wand - I love love LOVE the applicator on this thing! It gets little but enough product on the tip of applicator and it is hygienic as I do not have to use my fingers to apply it - although I do eventually resort back to my fingers for blending. The applicator is very smooth and does not feel harsh at all!
- BLEND BLEND BLEND - I think the "blendability" of this concealer even beats the MAC Pro concealer, it is AMAZING! Due to its neither thick or thin formula, this blends like a dream and leaves no lines I mentioned before. This concealer has reduced the time it takes for me to apply concealer, I have AWFUL dark circles.
- No cake on my face - this does not leave a cakey effect which is what we all want! Probably because of its "blendability", it leaves my under-eye natural and an almost no-make-up-look.
- Coverage - I rather like the coverage of this concealer as it covers up majority of my under-eye very well! I would recommend for people who don't have much dark circles or want something light!
- Price - £5!!!!!!!!!!!! Need I say more?!
Cons:
- THE DREADED TUBE - due to the tube packaging and the applicator, it means that when I reach the end of the product, there will still be some left and it will be virtually impossible to get the remaining produce - WHAT A WASTE!
- The coverage - I mentioned before that I like the coverage of this product, however, it does not cover up the most purple-y shades of my eyes and there are still some discolouration left (as you shall see in the picture below)
- Highstreet - now not really getting at the product, but the fact that it is a high street brand, it means that people cannot match it as well as they could at high-end cosmetic counters and it may be a problem for some people.
Here's an image of before and after applying this concealer:

as you can see, the inner part of my under eye is still a little bit purple! |

P.S. As I am very blessed and do not have many blemishes on my face, I have yet to concealer my face with the concealer, however I am sure it will work wonders!
